| Work Placement Programme: |
Once our Work placement partner is assured that you have the correct level of English, they will proceed to arrange a job interview. Once you have been offered a job, you will be expected to accept it. If you are not offered a job in your first interview, a maximum of 2 other interviews will be arranged.
You can choose what type of company/establishment you would like to work in (supermarket, restaurant, retail, factory, pub) but not the type of work to be carried out, as this depends on your previous work experience, level of spoken English and general ability to carry out same.
In order to apply for the Work Placement course, we need the following sent to us at least 4 weeks in advance of the start date of your English course:
• A completed Annalivia Booking Form • You should do our online test – this is for the English classes and is not part of the interview process and so an honest test is better so that we can put you in a class that is right for your level. • A Curriculum Vitae in English - (preferably only one page in length)
TERMS & CONDITIONS: • All students should have at least an Intermediate level of spoken English prior to attending a job interview. • All students should be 18 years or over and preferably in the 18-32 year old age bracket. • Participants must attend an interview when an interview has been arranged for them and commit themselves to a minimum period of 12 weeks’ work with the company. They must be prepared to work the hours required by the company that employs them. They are expected to take their job seriously and endeavour to be conscientious in every aspect of their job. In the unlikely event of the student being unhappy in the company for a valid reason, a second interview will be arranged. • Once the student has been offered a job, we expect him/her to accept it. If the student is not successful at the first interview, we will then arrange a second interview and so on - to a maximum of 3 interviews. • Jobs are never guaranteed but subject to a successful interview with the employer. • Only EU member citizens who are legally allowed to work in Ireland without a work permit are eligible. • The work placement fee of 300 euros is non-refundable
